First Gifts

Ron checked our registry yesterday and someone purchased some gifts!

Makes me wonder who purchased these (yes..Ron put this in the registry..lol)

Placemats (10 pieces..I don't know why I put so many .. but someone bought all 10!)

Wahoo! 2 Pitchers!

I will post my favorite items on our registry at a later post. ;D

2nd Pair

Here comes the 2nd pair of shoes. Remember, the other ones were too high for me to wear. =( I loved those shoes, but I'm sure I'll be able to use them later. ;D

I just hope it fits! I wanted something that was cute, but didn't look like it was for an "old" person.

Engagement Session

Just a teaser pic .. not from our professional photographer, but from my little brother. Him and our good friend came with us yesterday with their fancy cameras and took a few photos while our photographer took photos. They also carried my purse of junk and our shoes. ;D My brother still owes me and Ron an engagement photography session at Disneyland. I can't wait to see our photos!

Bridesmaids Jewelry

As part of their gift, I bought my bridesmaids jewerly from Redot Designs. I honestly love them! Rebecca (the owner) is truly a wonderful designer! She even recommended a different orange from the orange that I had picked, which was 10x better! I am absolutely happy with the jewelry I got for my girls. Makes me wish I was a bridesmaid! :P I don't want to show them off just yet. ;D

Since I'm having the hardest time looking for jewelry, I might get my jewelry from her as well!

Ron was laughing at me last night cause he couldn't believe that I knew what Horton was going to say in the movie "Horton Hears A Who". I had just read it to my kindergarten class last week so the story was fresh in my mind and when the line came up I totally had to say it cause I got my kinder kids to say it every time we got to that part of the story. It was a very interesting movie.

We finished putting ribbons on 100 invitations...only 100 more to go! Yikes!

It's spring break this week. We have our engagement photo this Monday. I also get a make-up and hair session with Jeanne. I'm excited!

Thursday, taking my aunt's visitors to Universal Studios. Then on Friday, I'm taking them to Disneyland. Luckily it will all be paid for. I was a little upset the other day cause I can't find my Disney pass, so I'll look for it after this blog.

On Saturday we're going to the L.A. coliseum for the Dodger's 50th Anniversary. Then on Sunday, we're going to the Staples center to watch the Lakers beat the Wizards.

So pretty busy and exciting week. ;D

"New" Clothes

Sick as a dog .. is what I have been this past few days.

I literally was sweating out of my clothes. I would wake up drenched in sweat (sorry if it's TMI!). I came home Monday from work and was just moaning and groaning from not feeling well. My loving dogs stayed by my side. For every cough, Stitch's head would pop up and he would look at me as if he was saying, "Are you okay?". And every time I moved in bed, Lilo would come sniffing me to check if I was still alive. I love my dogs.

So I've been totally fighting it. I've been going to work and all that too! My job requires a lot of standing, talking, and sometimes yelling. LOL. I thought I wouldn't be able to recover.

I was so upset because I had just started my diet and here I was sick and in need of nourishment. So far i've only been having small meals/snacks during the day and a big meal for dinner, which was not part of my diet plan, but since I'm sick, I needed to.

Considering that I usually weigh myself early in the morning before I have eaten/drank anything, I decided to weigh myself tonight (out of curiosity). I was afraid to step on the scale. When I did, I kept getting off of it and going back on it. I just couldn't believe it. I'm down to 135 (starting at approx. 142 in the beginning of January). 7 pounds down! Wahoo!! I basically lost 2 pounds this week. I don't know if it's because I'm sick or because of what I haven't been eating/drinking.

I decided to try on my "old" clothes. They fit without me having to stretch them out! So I have new clothes! ;D

10 more pounds and I'll be good!

Engagement Session, Diet

My engagement photo attire is complete. I found cute white flat shoes at target to match my attire. I thought to myself, "Why the heck would I wear heels at the beach?" Embarrassing though cause I found the shoes in the kids section. I tried on a size 5 and holy moly they didn't fit. So, I am officially a size 4.5 in kid shoes. =X

I forgot to mention that I will be starting my rigorous diet tomorrow. I have managed to lose 5 pounds and maintain it since the beginning of January. Now it's time to get to it!

The highest weight I hit was about 160lbs at a size 13 (around 2002). Not good for someone who is only 4'9. I managed to go from a size 13 to a size 2 (at 113 pounds) in approximately 8 months. I managed to stay that way for about a year, until I got laid off from my job of 5 years. I went up to at least 145 (2006) after that and now I am currently 137 pounds. All I want to lose is 10 pounds and at least hit a size 6. Right now I'm a size 8. I have lost weight in certain places because my size 8 pants that I had just bought before going on my no rice or soda diet are now loose (wahoo!). I am determined and excited! I know I can do it!!!

Parasols

Totally going to get parasols for my bridesmaids for our after ceremony park photos!

ORANGE AND PINK!!!

Invitation Ribbon

Today I started putting our ribbon on our invitation so that when the invitation is done getting printed I won't have as much work to do.
Yesterday when I was cutting the ribbon, my family and I were watching the fight between Marquez and Pacquiao. It was a good fight! So good, that ... well look what happened to my ribbons..

It got shorter and shorter! =X Man, was I upset! But thanks to my loving fiance for comforting me before I even had time to freak out. Hehe! <3

Engagement Photo Attire

I can't seem to decide what to wear to our engagement photo session which is in about a week and a half or so at Laguna Beach.

So I tried this on in Express (Ron's sister works there so I can TOTALLY get a discount)...but I ain't feelin' it and it probably won't match Ron's brown dress shirt. BUT I might just buy it just to have it. ;D I look like a girl!! :P

I ended up looking around Macy's and just when I was about to leave I found this!

I grabbed it and tried it on and bought it. It's perfect! At least it won't clash as much as the first photo. I'll be wearing a white blouse with a brown tanktop under it as a "second" attire, dark jeans, and my brown heels. ;D

I'm getting excited!

On a side note, I ordered our invites to get printed today! I'm in the mood to prep the invite stuff! AHHHH! ;D

Make-Up/Hair Booked!

I am in the process of booking my stylist for our big day! All I have to do is send her my deposit and contract and I'm done!

I went with Jeanne San Diego because she lives close by and is throwing in free airbrushing. Plus she has been so patient with me with all my questions. I also like how her make-up looks so fresh in photos. She will also be doing my engagement session hair/make-up. =D I also picked her because of these....

To check out more of her work, here are the following links..

Another thing out of my hair! Wahoo!!!!!!!!! I was honestly getting stressed out trying to find a stylist, cause once again, I'm so picky since I'm not much of a girly girl.

Kids' Coloring Book

We decided to make coloring books for our kids at the reception. I just can't decide if I should use a colored version or b/w version for the cover. I wanted to find photo for the cover and thought this would be perfect! It was from the OC Fair last year. Hehe. ;D

Mr. & Mrs. Aquino

Yesterday, my best guy friend and high school, went to our high school friend's wedding. Man, I was getting so emotional because I kept thinking "ahh! That's going to be Ron and I in 4 months!" *sigh* It was a really simple yet sweet wedding. =) It was funny though cause we were going there not knowing anyone except the bride, the MOH, and the MOH's parents (because they're my neighbor). During the reception someone tapped me on my shoulder and it was my second cousin. When we walked out the church, my elementary friend was there too. Also, some guy I was "talking" to during high school (which my best friend was totally making fun of me for), and family that I haven't seen in a couple of years, like my godsister. Small world.

I thought this was the cutest thing!

Me and the beautiful bride!

Home Sweet Home

Last weekend we moved Ron's things into our new apartment! Four more months until I get to move in! :P Our loving parents helped us move all of Ron's stuff over. I love our place! It's only 20 minutes from my parents house without traffic and approximately 8 minutes away from Disneyland. ;D It's a gated complex. The parking is a parking structure in the middle of the complex. ;D

Our view from the balcony. I really didn't want a view of the 5 fwy!
Our bedroom window.
The bathroom (duh?).
My place to bake and decorate my cakes. :P

A little computer area.

The Honeymoon

Our honeymoon is finally booked! One thing out of my hair! Wahoo!

ALOOOOOHA!

We will be going to Maui for 6.5 days and Oahu for 3.5 days. We leave the 21st and come back the 31st. I can't believe we'll be gone that long. We couldn't resist the offer cause they gave us one night free in Maui and one in Oahu.

We'll be staying at the Sheraton Maui Resort and the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa. The cool thing about the Hyatt is that for an extra $3 a night we get to be part of the Regency Club. Meaning breakfast, cocktails, etc. are included. The thing I love about our whole package is that breakfast is all covered. We're probably spending and arm and a leg, but man, I think after 9.5 years, we deserve this Honeymoon.

I'm excited!
